Comics in the Classroom: More than Laughs

Using a hands-on approach, participants will explore how integrating cartoons into classroom instruction enriches and enhances lessons and projects for more learners.  Using different web-based programs students will be able to demonstrate their deep content learning through an alternative assessment format, while being encouraged to show creativity.  This concept can be used in many subject areas, including, but not limited to grammar, reading, math, social studies, foreign languages, and science.This session is intended for instructors and teachers to promote creativity and individuality in assessing content knowledge based on project-based assessments and individual learning goals.
